Anika Noi Rose Anika Noi Rose, an American actress and performer, is known for her character as Tiana in the movie The Princess and The Frog. She's best known for portraying Tiana The Princess as well as the Frog's African-American Princess. Rose was named a Disney Legend in 2011. Rose is most well-known for her part as Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born the 6th of September, 1971. The actress is American actress and a singer. Her most well-known role is portraying Tiana the first Disney African-American princess as seen in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in the year 2011. She also has a starring performance, in the role of Lorrell Robinson on the show Dreamgirls (2006) that was nominated for an Academy Award. And she performs the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner on the show Starz's Power. Also, she is known for her performances in theatre particularly for her starring roles as Emmie Thibodeaux, in The Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004) where she received the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a Musical. She also played Beneatha Younger, who played The Broadway production of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) in which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.
